I stayed in town today to work and Tami went to Houston. We called this morning to see how things were going with Aleia. The nurse told us that she would be having another test run today or tomorrow to check for obstructions in her intestine. Basically they put some dye in her and then take a series of quick x-rays to look at all of her intestinal tract. The nurse did not know when they would get to it. Obviously she was not leaving today. So Tami drove on to Houston for the day.
Well to make a longer story shorter…Aleia had another flare up this afternoon after a feeding. She had some belly distension and was lethargic. So they took her off of feedings and put her back in a worming bed. Also they put back all the IVs and started to push liquid nutrition. So a step back today. They did not run the test today and will do it tomorrow and see what it tells them.
This was tough news……more when we know.
