Tuesday
Today is a new day. They ran some lower intestinal tests this morning and the initial inspection and verbal comments were that everything was “All Normal”. So apparently nothing out of sorts for her in the lower intestinal area. They are going to start her over again today and see how she does. The hospital stated it may be trial and error for the time being to see if a determination can be made. But also there may never be any conclusive findings. And she may be fine now. They supposedly clean out here system a bit with the rectal dye process, so that may be of help. If she still has problems, they will do an upper GI test from her stomach up to check for issues. But this will only be if she still has problems with digestion. So she is back in the Big Girl Crib and without any IV or anything. But she is starting over again on the feedings. She will be monitored to see how she does with that.
Ashlynn and Tami’s mom (Wanda) made it back in to BCS today around noon. Tami was very tired this morning and after getting up to run a few errands, took a nap and waited for Ashlynn to get home. I was home for lunch then as well. It was so great to see her! She was excited too! So Wanda and Tami went to Houston and Ashlynn went to school/daycare. I stayed here for work and picked up Ashlynn after school. Its rough on me not getting to go and see Aleia, but I have work to deal with as part of life. It’s unfortunate, but necessary. The joys of owning your own business I suppose.
So once to Houston, Tami says that Aleia is doing very well and looks really good. She is in the Crib and eating quite well. She is alert and active and back to her normal behavior. So good news! They have still not given a time line on returning to BCS, but we are in no hurry. Well Tami is anxious, but we both know it is best for her to stay put. And to actually be at a point where she can come home. No rushing.
So the day ends with good conditions and fairly good news. More as it happens. Also I am sorry for falling behind on this as of late. Things get hectic and its not real fun at times to sit down and have to catalog some of the events as they unfold……..
